Flavia Cosma has written a wonderful old time easy reader for young children that includes three different stories about Tommy Teddy Bear & Alex Little Bunny. Fun and colorful illustrations are sprinkled throughout the book as children read about these two wonderful friends and their adventures.

In the first story, Tommy and Alex invite the local animals on the nearby farm for lunch. But what they don't know is that a hungry wolf is making plans to feast on them for dinner. As the different animals arrive from the farm, Cosma writes little poems giving clues to who they are. The rhymes are fun and make children think who could be knocking on Tommy's and Alex's door. Finally, the wolf disguises himself as a sheep so he too can join the lunch party. Luckily Alex notices the wolf's tail sticking out and foils the wolf's plans to make dinner out of them all.

In the second story, Tommy and Alex are invited to the farm for dinner. While there, the two friends are taken on a tour of the nearby farm. They meet some new friends and have a wonderful dinner cooked by Mrs. Chicken. While all the farm animals and Tommy Teddy Bear have a nap, Alex takes a walk and runs into the farm bull. Alex decides that he wants to play with the bull like the bull fighters do and makes the farm bull very, very mad. Alex Little Bunny runs and hides from the bull, but he is soon found and in big trouble. The farm animals and Alex's faithful friend, Tommy, come to his rescue.

In the last story, Tommy, Alex, and their new farmyard friends take a trip. They have many more adventures trying to find the perfect spot for a picnic. After enjoying a wonderful picnic lunch, the friends find themselves in for yet another surprise... but you'll have to read the book to find out what it is.

This fun and enjoyable easy reader is packed full of little poems that tie into the storyline. Children will enjoy learning how to make friends, say they're sorry, and stay out of trouble with Tommy Teddy Bear and Alex Little Bunny.
