Our friends ate as much as they could. When nothing was left in the plates and bowls, they all went to find a shady place to sleep in the yard.

Being the one who had eaten the most, the lazy little pig fell asleep on his chair with his head on the table.

The cat went to the barn and got into her carriage from where she could watch any movement in the yard, but as nothign was moving, she fell asleep soon. The horse went to his stable to take his afternoon rest. The dog slept in front of his house in the shade of an old chestnut tree. Tommy the Bear, who had noticed some beehives among the orchard trees, chose to climb on the lower branch of a tree, as near to them as possible, hoping that the bees would give him some honey. And with that thought, he fell asleep too. The only one that couldn't sleep at all was Alex. As he was pondering what he could do, the bull came out of the stable, heading toward the trough for a drink of water. At that moment an idea struck Alex Little Bunny. He quickly untied his red scarf from around his neck, and moving nearer to the bull, started yelling: "Toro! Hey! Toro!" and struck the bull in the nose with the scarf. The bull didn't pay any attention to him at first, and continued drinking his water.

But Buny did not give up and touching the bull's nose again and again he kept yelling "Toro! Hey! Toro!" until the bull became completely enraged. Snorting angrily he charged toward Bunny, who dropped the scarf and started running as fast as he could.

The bull ran after him stirring up clouds of dust all over the place. Alex saw a hole in the orchard fence and scurried through it thinking he was out of danger at last, but the bull was too nervous to stop.

Reaching the fence, he took it apart with his horns, knocking it down and smashing it to pieces. Then deciding to teach the daring Bunny a good lesson, the bull chased him through the trees. Almost at the orchard's end Alex Little Bunny hopped into a bush, got some scratches and stings and hid as completely as he could. The bunny's heart was beating fast: "Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick."
