The 20th Writers’ and Artists’ Festival at Val-David was a tremendous success. Thank you all, merci beaucoup, muchas gracias, multumesc frumos. The Festival was a beautiful moment in time. La fin de semaine du Festival international chez Flavia fut à la hauteur de mes attentes. Toujours des rencontres formidables avec des gens talentueux d'un peu partout. Un jeune participant, Thorvadur Sigurbjorn Helgason, arrivait même de la lointaine et mystérieuse Islande. Il y avait aussi des Argentins, des Boliviens, des Roumains, des Brésiliens et bien sûr des Québécois, certains des immigrés, comme moi originaire de France et mon chum d'Angleterre. Ce melting pot donna lieu à d'enrichissants échanges à tous les niveaux. C'est un événement très stimulant pour tous ceux que l'écriture intéresse mais aussi pour ceux qui aiment la lecture. Merci à Flavia de sa grande générosité envers tous les participants qui ont droit non seulement au micro, à la découverte de textes poétiques ou autres, à d'intéressantes conférences concernant la littérature ou l'édition, mais aussi à déguster ses délicieux mets préparés avec amour.
